It seems that the nature of every industry when a product is popular or has a meteoric rise to popularity, that the competition will just as easily copy elements of that product in their product to produce something that can become just as if not more popular and therefore profitable. Gaming is no different and with the high sales in certain games in certain genres or with certain settings there is no lack of the clones that assail us trying to get us to buy them only feeling very copy cat, watered down, and over used by the time the trend dies.

Lately it seems you can’t blink without seeing a game with zombies (in some form or another), a post apocalyptic setting of some kind, and everyone’s favorite genre where your character has no face or voice and you find yourself mowing down crowds of enemies by the time the credits roll.

So this week’s question of the week is what trends in gaming are you tired of? Be it setting, genre, game mechanic, etc. we at aimless want to know.
